The Ferengi are a people governed by money. However, even they have a military power to ensure that trade is not taken without proper payment.. or not so proper if your a Ferengi. Small, and trade orientated, the Ferengi military is seldom seen in more civilised section of the galaxy, but in new frontiers, where merchants need protection, for a fee, the military provides its assistance.
