I'd like the thank all of the busy writers, if you send you're name rank and ship to my excellent deputy Lieutenant Clarkson he shall credit you on the site. The second person I'd like to thank is my deputy editor Dan Clarkson, he has taken the initiative and been a never ending source of good ideas and enthusiasm. Please enjoy our latest edition! -=/\=- SHIP REPORTS -=/\=- VESSEL: USS Arizona Ship Report for the month of October, 2001. The month of October saw the USS Arizona complete a successful joint mission with the recently commissioned USS Dragonstar. The Arizona heads to its base of operations, Starbase 432, after completing the last mission in Delkathi space. Along the way, the Arizona collects new crew members and say goodbye to those departing. During the trip, a little get together/goodbye function is held for Chief Engineer and 2nd Officer Lieutenant Commander Tong Parx. Also combined is a small wake for the departed Lieutenant Commander Asali Nyuki, ship's counsellor, who died in the last mission...though Coming aboard the Arizona are Lieutenant Commander Aubrey Wilmott (npc) as the new Chief Tactical Officer and Ensign Torber Gra'el, Science Officer. Leaving is Ensign Talor Dal, Assistant CSO. Commander Wilmott(npc) isn't an overly likeable and immediately makes a bad impression on Captain Crowley by hitting on Docter Grace Kelly. In fact, Wilmott's stay with the Arizona will be short-lived as no one can work or get along with him. Commander Jaxx has become somewhat of a recluse with the loss of Counselor Nyuki. Upon arrival at Starbase 432, a month long shoreleave ensues. Captain Crowley and Commander Grace Kelly finally spend some quality time together. Chief Surgeon Aya Pretor discovers she may be pregnant, possibly with the new Corporeal life force of Counselor Nyuki. Lieutenant Commander Tong departs, Lieutenant Roman Carter appointed new 2nd Officer. Ensign Lieutenant Nat Cruix, Deputy CoS, Ensign Gra'el, Ensign Stevens and Petty Officer 3rd Class Batok, Gunner's Mate, head down to the domed city of the planet which Starbase 432 orbits. Once there, they begin a research and analysis of the surrounding terrain and the Dilithium present in the soil. With the help of Ensign AJ Kaknox, Engineer, they set up a temporary Further analysis finds that a large Dilithium plate exists nearby. Ensign Gra'el discovers the plate is unstable and its location is With the help of Lieutenant(jg) Cruix and PO3 Batok, they soon discover the culprits behind the illegal mining operation. Ferengi. The team hold off the Ferengi and call for assistance. In time, Federation Security and Marines hold the perimeter in question though it seems the Ferengi got away. Stabilizing the plate is possible and will take time. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Roman Carter, CoO, and Lieutenant Alex Bedford, CoS take a private vessel to Delta for consultation and examination. Lieutenant Carter is worried his half-Deltan nature may complicate the relationship. Lieutenant Mandy Chekov, CSO, has been having thoughts of leaving the ship in order to find a way to be with her husband, whom she had not seen since their marriage 10 months ago. Doctor Kelly and Captain Crowley look into getting the Doctor's ex-husband out of their lives once and for all. The situation stems from a former custody battle where Kelly's ex attempted to take her kids from her, citing she was an unfit mother. Doctor Kelly won the custody suit but her ex is still trying to find ways to get the kids from Commander Jaxx goes away for a retreat to help clear his mind and thoughts. His Klingon side appears to be at war with his Romulan side. Lieutenant Mandy Chekov, CWO Vahl, Ensign Jasa Me'tchel, Assistant CEO and Chekov's mirror universe twin, Alpha, head down to the domed city for some adventuring. The build a wind-flyer and enter a competition. They complete the construction but fail to enter the race in time. Alpha, who was here originally to protect Chekov from a trans-dimensional killer, completes her task. Alpha saves Chekov, then decides to start a new life for herself somewhere and departs. Lieutenant Commander Wilmott(npc) breaks the camel's back, as it were, and suddenly finds himself transferred by an irate Captain Crowley. In order to keep his Chief Science Officer from leaving the Arizona, Captain Crowley pulls strings to have Chekov's husband, Lieutenant P.T. Chekov, reassigned to his ship as the new Chief Tactical Officer. Ward Science Officer Ensign Gol'Khar Science Officer PO3 Garef Kor Engineer's Mate PROMOTIONS/COMMENDATIONS: NAME: Roman Carter NAME: Asali Nyuki NAME: Alexander Bedford NAME: Natasha Cruix NAME: Shoshana Sima NAME: Alexander Jeffrey (AJ) Kaknox Simulation Name: Bismarck Mission Summary: The USS Bismarck is currently on a mission to deliver muchly needed supplies to Cardassia Prime. The Captain is on the planet with a small away team as well as her two sons. Her diplomatic officer has been kidnapped. A second away team has built a storage area and a outpost. A third away team is currently trying to get in touch with the captain because a mob is fixing to try and overrun the estate of the Premier. Meanwhile, all communications have been blocked to the Bismarck. Promotions and Awards: None this month, but there maybe some at the end of this mission. VESSEL: USS CASEY Shoreleave/Mission 16: The Heart of Orion =Summary Report= Shoreleave continues for the crew of the USS Casey. And there are many new faces. While having an intimate moment with Isian, Rosh meets his new Deputy Chief of Security. After leaving the two, Torven thinks he has found another case of the parasite infection, only to discover it is an unaffected Bron Mahon, his new XO. The new XO later meets the Chief Diplomatic Officer, Ensign Elek. On the Casey, No'Cho and Leifang are having dinner. They exchange views on their cultures, among other things. Suron is surprised by his father who comes to visit Suron aboard the Casey. During the visit the new XO drops by to introduce himself. While there Salak advises his son on his search for his brother. Rosh speaks briefly with Elek about Isian. Torven then meets with Graxx to go over security details. Quark's continues to be the place to be. Boyd leaves there to return to the Casey while Yarr and Feared by Pirates stay for a while longer. Hope shops around the Promenade with her mother and daughter. Deral and Isian meet as crewmates in the science department. Pike and Blake enjoy a meal on Bajor before returning to their assigned duties on the Casey. Elsewhere on Bajor, Ensign Galiano has made a new friend in Vara while touring B'Hala. He takes her back to DS9 and tries to show her the ship, but is turned away. They part friends. Many of the crew are thinking of friends and family including Lt. Nirva and Counselor Elewa. Lt. Ryback oversees exercises between the security department and the marines. As the crew starts to return to the Casey for it's departure, new members of the crew begin to meet their crewmates and settle in, including G'tok and Graxx. The Medical department begins it's standard exams of the crew, new and old. Security starts to divide it's time within different departments. As the Casey departs Deep Space Nine, many of the crew remember their time there. But now they are on course to return to their home base, Starbase 11, patrol duty. It doesn't take long before they come across trouble. They receive a distress signal from the Dopeterian freighter "Marras" and change course to investigate. When they arrive, the vessel is a burned out shell. Mahon, Thornton, Suron, Isian and Rosh beam over to investigate. The bridge is inoperative. Mahon, Thornton and Rosh find a survivor in the mess hall. He is nearly dead but finds the strength to say, "PROTECT THE HEART!" Dr. Thornton beams back to the Casey with the survivor and, with her staff, begins working on the Dopeterian. Because of their tracking abilities, Mahon calls for Graxx and Feared by Pirates to search the vessel, since tricorders are not dependable in the present ship environment. More marines and security beam over to assist in the search. Feared by Pirates discovers a dead Lyran in the aft cargo holds. Suron discovers that one escape pod left the ship; occupants and course unknown. He continues to try to keep the ship together while Isian downloads what's left of the ship's logs. Counselor Elewa and Ensign Elek meet in the mess hall and chat for a while. Asamali then meets Hope in Sickbay to try to help with the Dopeterian. She tries to make telepathic contact him but is unable. Blake stops by as well to see how the Dopeterian is doing. After leaving Sickbay, Blake contacts Elek and they begin to track down the identity of the freighter and it's crew and cargo. Termin reports his findings to Pike. Meanwhile, Commander Pike is using the resources of the Casey to try to discover where the escape pod is. What will the crew find when they locate it? MANIFEST ALTERATIONS: Name - G'tok Removals: PROMOTIONS/AWARDS: VESSEL: USS HYPERION On the Hyperion, Thomas and Hannah struggle with Hannah's position as the XO. The Hyperion reaches Jupitorand the battle. Brandel has a talk with Desaix and Brend'ell to help try and find a diplomatic solution. After his meeting, he comes back onto the bridge and sits in his seat. Hannah takes her place in the XO chair. He orders the Nimitz and Haley to proceed. When the trap is set, the Hyperion fires it's quantum torpedoes which drains the hyp's power, but the Hyperion recovers. The torpedoes destroys 3 of the 5 ships and does damage to the 4th. Braxton comes up with an idea to take one of the "race" ships and turn it against the race in the heart of the fight. Brandel likes his idea and sends Hannah over with an away team. The Away team consisting of LT Hannah O'Halloran, LT Strazzco Valasko, LT Fenix Pretor, MCaptain Kiara Sumrak, LT(jg) Kendall Braxton, Ensign Endu Sarvot and Ensign Debbie Shackleton. The away team takes a shuttle and lands on the "race" ship. When they get there they split into two different groups one goes to the bridge while the other goes to engineering. Hannah heads to the bridge with the first group. Along the way Sumrak gets shot and Hannah, while giving her medical aid is attacked and Stabbed. Thomas is sent for and after stabilizing Hannah has Back on the Hyperion, Skeksis comes up with a communication plan to hide the fact that the "race" ship was actually being run by crew from the Hyperion. When Hannah is beamed to sickbay, Osron immediately gets her into surgery. Seriva comes as soon as she hears about Hannah. Sumrak, who has also been beamed to sickbay hates it and after a visit from Brandel is Back on the "race" ship, the two teams have made it to their different designations. In engineering, Endu worked on getting the ship going. Something happens though on the ship. Shackleton had found a button and wasn't sure if she should push it or not. Hannah is better and realizes her place is on the bridge, so against Thomas' wishes she heads back to the bridge. Seriva gets a disturbing call from her mom's husband and goes nuts. Frank in engineering feels Seriva's trouble and heads to her office. Brend'ell and Eyri go and have drinks in the officer's mess and then suddenly start seeing penquins. They head to the bridge to attack the Head penquin but are stopped by security. Brend'ell breaks Osron's nose when Osron tries to help restrain them. Brend'ell and Eyri are taken to sickbay where it is discovered that they had halucinagenics in their bloodstream which meant that it was slipped into their drinks. Brandel goes to sickbay to talk to Eyri and Brend'ell about their behavior, but is told by The Hyperion used the "Trojan horse to take out some of the "race" ships and make their way to the Mother ship. They take on prisoners and wounded from the "race. Thomas pays a visit to the bridge to give his report on the wounded and prisoners. Sutton and Brend'ell spend some time alone on the holodeck but are interupted by Endu. Over on the Mother ship, Ferrell is Brandel receives a message from another ship about an Admiral ordering some of the ships to do shield maintance during the battle which tells Brandel that this Admiral is a possible traitor. Hannah comes up with the idea of trying to beam over ginger to the "Race" ships since it has affects on them. Brandel agrees and orders Andrews along with engineering to replicate enough for the "race" ships. Brend'ell and Sutton, both away from each other think about the other during their duties. Sutton is upset at herself for the "puppy love" she's experiencing. Strazzco comes to the Bridge and hears about the ginger idea. He gives an idea about taking the "mother ship" Just then a report comes that Buckingham Palace was surrounded defended by the Royal Life Guards and the 2nd Coldstream Guards, the Race had taken over or imprisoned everything else in Britain except the Queen, Elizabeth the Fifth. Reyaga comes on the bridge and informs the Captain that the Ferangi are indeed helping the "race" with the invasion. Brandel orders Strazzco to get the fighters launched. The Hyperion needed their extra protection and fire power. Frank comforts Seriva over her call. She finally convinces him that she'll be OK. Frank goes back to work in engineering and Seriva takes Aurora and heads to sickbay to work. Sumrak is in her quarters thinking of things when she remembers when she was in boot camp and one of her Brandel decides that he needs to get to Earth and help with the fight in London. He orders Sumrak to bring a security detail and he along with Endu, Thomas, West and Sumrak's security, they take the USS Agincourt and go to earth leaving Hannah in command of the Hyperion. The Agincourt reaches London, but the next task was finding a place close to the Palace without Andrews lets Hannah know that he's almost done with the replications of the Ginger. The Away team land and fight their way to help Queen Elizabeth the V in the fight. West gets hit and Thomas patches him up. The Hyperion makes it's way to the Mother ship when they're attacked. They suffer some damage. The diplomatic decks break out in a fire. Osron is sent to help The Hyperion finally reaches the area where the "mother ship" is. But they are intercepted by 3 ships protecting the "mother ship" they are able to do enough damage to two of them protecting the "mother ship" and they transport some of the Ginger to those two ships. Soon after the two ships start to feel the effects of the ginger. During the battle, the Hyperion looses alot of their fighters. The ginger effects on the two race ships causes them to start fighting among themselves and firing on the other race ships. A ship appears out of the blue. It has borg technology and is discovered to be the missing Masada. West takes the Shuttlecraft and shoots at the race. The team is beamed to the transporter area and then soon after they transport to starfleet headquarters. West and his pilot do some shooting with the Agincourt, but in the end they lose it and transport themselves out. Back at the palace, suddenly the "race" surrender. It seems that the "Race" Emperior is on the Masada. He orders the "race" to cease fire. The Mother ship that Ferrell was on leaves orbit, destoying some ships near it when it takes off. Brandel and the rest are surprised when the "Race" surrender. Brandel is then contacted by the Hyperion and is requested to return back to the Hyperion. Brandel beams back to the Hyperion. West and Lawanor are transported to the Palace the same time Brandel is transported to the Hyperion. When Brandel gets to the Hyperion, he is meeted by Andrews, as ordered and Brandel orders Andrews to assess the damage to the sol system. Brandel finishes making his way to the bridge. End Report. Report done by VESSEL: USS PEGASUS Mission 4 Warmup: "Family Ties" - Continued As the USS Pegasus continued it's course heading for Romulus, it's new Captain was soon becoming more and more suspicious of the intents behind his Chief Engineer and his Executive Officer who would not willingly share any information with him or anyone else for that matter. Assigning a few officers to keep their eyes on them, the Captain was later handed Chief Engineer Deveraux's resignation from Starfleet followed by Executive Officer Incosi's promise that she would follow the Romulan to Romulus and under no condition would she change her mind. Furious that the two of them would use the Pegasus Meanwhile, activities for other crewmembers seem to be getting weirder by the day and it comes with a bit of shock when EMH Jorge and the ship's computer Bo, decide to get married! As the O'Hara sisters get to work with plans and decorations, Rahl and Walker get involved themselves. Now, in orbit of Romulus, the away team of Deveraux, Incosi, Mac Shay, Kilrassi, de Conde, Regok and Triya beam to the surface and immediately take shelter in a secret Tal Shiar underground headquarters, were upon weapons, information and directions are issued. With Regok and Triya leading the Tal Shiar Officers in a distraction, Deveraux and Incosi lead the away members into a sewer tunnel and eventually right into the hands of the enemy itself. Back on the Pegasus, as Romulans beam onboard to help with the search, a sudden double cross is revealed and Niedermeyer is shot and knocked unconscious as the now intruders flood the ship.. their mission unknown. MANIFEST ALTERATIONS: Removals: Name - Rick Hunter PROMOTIONS/AWARDS: USS Edison (No promotions or commendations have been awarded this month, as our new mission has only just started.) With the Edison back under the control of the crew, and Captain Stelleto departed, the USS Edison limped back to Earth for repairs, to pick up some new crew, and to be briefed on their new mission. The simple trip back to Earth was quite eventful (shoreleave or not!). Our Bar Manager mysteriously left the ship, without a word to her friends. After she sent a message back to the Edison, a small band of crewmembers journeyed to DS9 to *rescue* her. It was revealed that in her past, she owed a debt to an old aquaintence, who demanded payment in the form of Meanwhile, the Edison was attacked and damaged by a rouge starship, whose crew kidnapped Ensign Cochrane and Crewman Izumi. They travelled to the Badlands, believing that they had destroyed the Edison, and tried to convince Izumi to join their cause. The band of rogues had connections with Izumi's fathers' past, and most knew him personally. However, their Lt Verona drafted Ryan Bones and his shuttle to chase after the kidnappers. They quickly caught up with them, and being a much smaller vessel had the advantage in combat in the Badlands. The missing officers (along with an old *friend* from Izumi's past) were beamed aboat the shuttle and taken back to the Edison. On Earth, Commander Drab and Lt Pax were briefed on their mission to the Venatt System, where the Edison was to conduct an examination on the planet and culture of the inhabitants: and newly warp-capable society. The Edison has only recently arrived in the system and the crew are meeting with the Leadership. - Commander Will Drab VESSEL: STARBASE TANGO/ TANGO FLEET ACADEMY *Spec Ser* Lt Kien and her team are set free. The Ventru and the Vos start having peace talks. So Lt Emyaj and her team head for home. End of Mission *Guardian of Forever* Lt Cody and his team discover a room in one of the tunnels they are in filled with Consoles from various races ships. Some of these consoles have yet to invited. Considering it is 3000 yrs in the past. Cdr Warner , Yeomen Jonstion, Science Braddok, Marine Saxe and Donjon are put in Jail. Maa G'tok Locates one of the Auerlians. He is serving in a judges position. Warner and the rest who are in jail are set free. All charges against them where dropped. But they have to make reparations for the damage they have caused. Cdr Warner and his team meet up with Maa G'tok. They are able to capture the Ambassador G'Peto and Scientist Gilldorn with no problem. So 3 down and one to go. LT Cody and his team discover that the changes in the timeline where caused by the Last Aurelian scientist. It was also discovered that the away teams arrived 23 yrs after the Aurelian's jumped thru the Guardian. But his team was captured by the last Aurelian and put in the brig on a Arika Class like starship. All Their Possessions where taken. But No'cho Managed to hide his comm badge from them. Later he was able to contact CDR Warner with it and fill him in. Cdr Warner and his team mount a rescue to get Lt COdy and his team. While Cadet No'Cho and his team sneak into the engine room and plant a virus into the ships computer that will cause the ship to blow up the second it jumps to warp. Unfortunly the both away teams don't make off the ship in time before she takes off and jumps to warp. But who knows how or why , as son as the ship jump to warp and blew up the Guardian of Time snatches them back and they find that time has been set straight. 3 of the Auerlians where arrested and are waiting travel. The last one was blown up with the ship in the past. Lt Cody set course for the Academy and the Yeager returns with out further indicate. But there are some unanswered questions 1. WHat caused the Auerlians to leave this world 3000 yrs ago, 2. How come all the know races of the Federation where present on that world 3. How come all the technology that they had on that planet was left behind when they left and where is this technology now? We may never know the answers to these questions. END OF MISSION! *Cardassia* Lt Vre and LTCDR Mahon along with a bunch of cadets are being sent to Cardassia on the Faulkner to observe the scientific conference going on there. LTCDR Mahon has been giving command of the Faulkner, but Lt Vre is leading the delegation. They depart from the Academy and head to Eta tauri 4 to use the warp gate that was discovered there to shorten the trip to cardassia. Once the arrival in Cardassia space they are escorted in by a Galor-Class warship, Once they are escorted to Cardassia. they beam down and join the conference. Cadet Gol'Khar is arrested and charged with war crimes. He is thought to have served on the Klingon warship Qu'wa that destroyed several Carrdasian ships in the recent war. Lt Vre, Lcdr Mahon and Cadet Doran go to investigate these charges. They where able to Convince Gul Miyel to drop the charges. They return to the Conference. Ltcdr Vre learns of a Cardassian research station and decides to take a trip there with the Science cadets. the cardassian gladly arrange passage to it. While visiting the station Lt Vre gets lost form the rest of the group and finds herself in a strange sector of the Research station. From her hiding spot she sees Cardassians wearing protected suits going into a secret room and guards are watching everything that goes on very closely. But unfortunly she is caught and tossed in the brig. Meanwhile on board the Faulkner LCDR Mahon waits paciently for LCDR Vre to report in but when she miss her check in time and doesn't respond back to his msg. Same with the Science tem that went with her. He puts the ship on Yellow alert and sets course for the Research station. *Hydrans* Co: LCDR Frank Azul Xo: Lt Roman Carter LTCDR Frank Azul receives a call from Starfleet Command. Informing him that Repersentives from the Hydrans will be visiting the Academy to negotiating Trading and shipping rights. But to get to the base they must get to their Border and there are Factions in their government who don't ant anything to do with outsiders. So the Yeager is being sent to Protect the Delegates during the trip to the base. The Yeager arrives at planet Keller. Sends downs it's away team to look for their contact who will lead them to the Hydran repersentive that they are to pick up. *Search & Rescue* Co Lt Sonra Xo Lt Strife Virus: X-20213 Transmission: Fluid-based transmission. (Blood, Seminal/vaginal, urine, tears, sweat, breast milk). Though titers have been detectable in Sputum and Saliva, thus far there are no documented cases of there being a sufficiently high enough infectious dose (ID50) in animal studies and computer simulations. Symptoms: Since this is a relatively new disease on the frontier of medical science, specific disease history and course are not as yet completely clear. From the initial ships logs of the crew that discovered the virus, the initial symptoms include many flu like symptoms. Chills/fevers, cough, nasal congestion, mild respiratory distress, headaches, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, and weakness. The incubation periond (time of infection to time of first manifestation of symptoms) is approximately 24 hours. The initial phase of the disease lasts about 2-5 days. At this point approximately 1/4 of the infected patients spontaneously recover.
