The
Tango Fleet RPG - Command School, in
operating a "command training SIM" setting
that permits potential command candidates to earn practical SIM administration
and management experience, is dependant on assistance provided through
volunteers. The volunteers are present to aid in creating the "command
training SIM" setting through participation as a member of the
SIM. |
| |
In
proposing to assist on a "command training SIM", through
contacting the Dean of Command School or the Assistant Dean of Command
School, a volunteer agrees to accept certain terms and conditions
that govern such participation. |
| |
Should
one wish to volunteer or inquire about the volunteer process one should
contact the Dean
of Command School,.Commodore John Warner ,
through accessing the contact information provided at the
below LCARS data points: |

The
terms and conditions relating to a volunteer's inclusion and participation
on a "command training SIM" includes, but are not limited
to: |

commitment or participation level must not decrease in other areas
of Tango Fleet RPG #
1 |
|
...
a volunteer's commitment or participation level
must equate to a minimum of 1 post or log per week #
2 |
|
| |
#
1 - should a volunteer's
participation or commitment decrease in ANY area of Tango Fleet RPG
due to a volunteer's participation on a "command training SIM",
then the Dean of Command School or Assistant Dean of Command School
reserves the right to expel said individual
from a "command training SIM" and indeed ban the individual
from being eligible to volunteer in the future. In addition should
an individual assume a leave of absence (LOA) in an area of Tango
Fleet RPG in order to participate on a "command training SIM"
then this shall also
prompt a volunteer's expulsion or banning.
|
| |
#
2 - a volunteer for a "command
training SIM" is required to participate through a minimum of
1 post or log per week. Should a volunteer fail to participate to
this level without permission being granted for a leave of absence
(LOA), then said volunteer shall be expelled from a "command
training SIM".
If an individual requires a leave of absence (LOA) it should be requested
using the OOC mailing list for the
Nova Class, U.S.S. Atlantis NCC-75012 or the Defiant Class, U.S.S.
Invincible NCC-74666,
depending on which SIM the volunteer is assigned to. In addition it
shall be required that all members assigned to a "command training
SIM" participate in other member orientated projects that a CO
and / or XO might initiate (i.e. welcoming new members, participating
in OOC discussion threads etc .,.)
|
| |
In
volunteering for a "command training SIM" a volunteer must
provide a completed character BIO for use. It is required that each
volunteer use the enclosed character BIO template for this purpose,
and all sections must be completed. The character BIO shall be approved
through the CO and / or XO of a "command training SIM" and
thus changes that are requested must be complied with. In relation
to the character rank or rate of a character, a volunteer is permitted
to use the highest rank or rate earned in Tango Fleet RPG once it
does not exceed the naval rank of Commander (CDR) or marine equivalent
of Lieutenant Colonel (LTCOL) and once the CO and / or XO of a "command
training SIM" is satisfied that there is a sufficient degree
of assortment amongst the rank or rate of participants on the SIM.
(i.e. to prevent all SIM members holding the same rank or rate etc
.,.) |
| |
|
| |
If
an individual is experiencing difficulties creating a character BIO
then the character BIO creation guide at TF-A might be of assistance.
It can be accessed through the following LCARS data point:

In
establishing a "command training SIM" it is understood and
appreciated that there is a desire to examine or test the practical
abilities of the command candidates assigned to a given SIM. In this
regard creating sample problems that a command candidate might encounter
on a regular SIM in Tango Fleet RPG
in a CO or XO position is encouraged, however should a volunteer wish
to proceed with such an examination the consent of the Dean of Command
School or the Assistant Dean of Command School must be sought. In
other words, no volunteer is permitted to test or create a problem
with the deliberate intent to examine the abilities of a command candidate
without permission being granted prior to its execution.

conclusion, volunteers that perform to an exceptional standard on
a "command training SIM" shall be eligible for the "Distinguished
